Windows App

ZB SmartConverter

Batch convert images between PNG, JPEG, WEBP, BMP, TIFF, and PDF — with drag and drop, adjustable quality, and live progress tracking.

Features

Batch Conversion

Convert an entire folder of images in one go. Select multiple files, set the output format, and let the app handle the rest.

Drag & Drop

Drop files or folders directly onto the app window. No file picker required — just drag from Explorer and start converting.

Wide Format Support

Input and output: PNG, JPEG, WEBP, BMP, TIFF, PDF. Also reads HEIC/HEIF from iPhone and modern cameras.

Quality Control

Adjustable output quality for lossy formats. Set it once and it applies to the whole batch, or fine-tune per format.

PDF Support

Convert images to PDF and PDF pages to images. Useful for packaging visuals for delivery or extracting pages from multi-page documents.

Live Progress

Smooth progress bar with 50 ms updates, current filename, and a file counter (e.g. Converting 3/10) so you always know where the batch stands.

Manual

Installation

Requires Windows 10 or later.

Install from Microsoft Store.

Converting Images
  1. Launch ZB SmartConverter.
  2. Add files by clicking Add Files, or drag them directly onto the window.
  3. Choose your Output Format from the dropdown (PNG, JPEG, WEBP, BMP, TIFF, PDF).
  4. Set Output Quality if converting to a lossy format.
  5. Choose an Output Folder.
  6. Click Convert.

The progress bar updates every 50 ms and shows the current file name and count. When complete, the output folder opens automatically.

Supported Formats

Input formats: PNG, JPEG, WEBP, BMP, TIFF, PDF, HEIC, HEIF

Output formats: PNG, JPEG, WEBP, BMP, TIFF, PDF

HEIC and HEIF support requires the optional pillow-heif library, which is included in the packaged EXE. PDF support uses PyMuPDF and is included by default.

Tips
  • To convert a whole folder, drag the folder onto the window rather than individual files.
  • For maximum quality PNG output, set quality to 100 — PNG is lossless so the setting only affects compression speed.
  • When converting to JPEG or WEBP, a quality of 85–90 gives a good balance between file size and visual quality.
  • The app remembers your last used output folder and format between sessions.
